The Xunta calls for the preliminary records of the expropriation of the LU-234 in Lugo

The Galician Infrastructure Agency calls for the drawing up of minutes prior to the occupation of assets and rights affected by the pedestrian and cyclist itinerary on road LU-234, in the municipality of Lugo. Affected owners must appear on October 23, 2026, from 10:00 to 12:40 hours, at the assembly hall of the Centro Uxío Novoneyra. The call is published in the Resolution of September 14, 2026, of the Provincial Service of Lugo, in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo no. 213, of September 17, 2026 (R. 2462).

The resolution is signed by the head of the Provincial Service of Lugo, Gerardo Pallares Sánchez, by virtue of the competence delegated by the Order of September 7, 2017, on the delegation of competences, published in the DOG no. 179, of September 20, 2017. The file is processed in accordance with article 52 of the Forced Expropriation Law of December 16, 1954, and articles 56 and following of the Regulation of April 26, 1957, as well as article 22.5 of Law 8/2013, of June 28, on Galician Roads, which supports the declaration of public utility and the urgency of the occupation.

The final approval of the project took place on June 29, 2026, by agreement of the Council of the Xunta de Galicia and was published in the Official Gazette of Galicia no. 127, of July 9, 2026. The action is co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), within the framework of the Galicia Feder 2021-2027 program.

A sustainable mobility work on the LU-234

The declaration of public utility covers the need for the occupation of assets and the acquisition of the rights necessary to execute the works, the deposits of surplus materials, the necessary loans, and the replacement of affected services, as well as the reformulation of the project and any modifications that may be approved subsequently.

Appearance on October 23 in Lugo

• Schedule: from 10:00 to 12:40 hours.

The list of owners with the affected assets and rights and the parcel plans are on display at the Lugo City Council and at the Provincial Service of the Galician Infrastructure Agency of Lugo (Administrative Building, Ronda da Muralla nº 70, 27071 Lugo). Interested parties will also be summoned by individual notification.

Documentation and payment

The holders must appear in person or be represented by a duly authorized person, with a notarial, judicial, or consular power of attorney, and present:

• National identity document (DNI).
• Documents proving ownership.
• Proof of payment of the IBI (Property Tax), if applicable.
• Account certificate with IBAN and BIC codes.

The payment of advance deposits and compensation for rapid occupation will be made by bank transfer. If the account ownership certificate is not presented, the amount will be deposited in the General Deposit Fund (Caixa Xeral de Depósitos), in accordance with article 51 of the Forced Expropriation Regulations.

Formalization of occupation records

• Date: December 14, 2026.
• Time: from 10:00 to 11:45 hours.

During this same act, the valuations established by the Administration for each property by way of mutual agreement will be offered to the owners. The owners of the property or holders of the expropriated right will appear in the record, and representation will not be admitted except by means of a duly authorized power of attorney.

The call opens the period for the owners of the lands affected by the pedestrian and cyclist path of the LU-234 to accept or claim the valuations before the Xunta occupies the properties, a procedure that affects both the construction schedule and the collection of compensation.
