The Xunta grants 500,000 euros to 13 entities for adapted vehicles

The Department of Presidency, Justice and Sports has published in the Official Gazette of Galicia (DOG no. 176, of September 16, 2026) the resolution of September 8, 2026, announcing the grants awarded for the acquisition of adapted vehicles to facilitate the provision of services to dependent persons or persons with disabilities. The budget credit allocated to the call amounts to €500,000.00, charged to budget application 05.08.512A.781.0 (project 2026/00005).

The grants are awarded under the Order of April 20, 2026, published in DOG no. 81, of May 4, which establishes the regulatory bases under a non-competitive competition regime and convenes the procedure for the 2026 financial year, under code IF403A. The resolution is signed by delegation of the regional minister, and the signature corresponds to the Director General of Mobility, Judit Fontela Baró.

The 13 beneficiary entities

Annex I of the resolution lists the 13 beneficiary social initiative entities and the amounts granted, totaling 500,000 euros:

Exhaustion of credit

In a complementary resolution also dated September 8, 2026, the department announces the exhaustion of the credit for the call. According to article 1.2 of the order, management is carried out in non-competitive competition until the credit is exhausted, and article 9.1 of the bases provides for the granting in successive acts to all entities that meet the requirements.

The last application that could be granted, in accordance with the temporal priority established in article 2.2 of the order, was the one submitted on May 13, 2026, at 9:15 a.m. via the electronic headquarters of the Xunta de Galicia, corresponding to file IF403A-2026-0017. From that moment, the credit of 500,000 euros was fully committed.

Impact for the social sector

The publication of these grants confirms the Xunta’s support for social initiative entities that provide transport services to dependent persons or persons with disabilities throughout Galicia, from Ferrolterra and the Costa da Morte to Lugo and Viveiro. The rapid exhaustion of the credit, just nine days after the opening of the call, evidences the high demand for a financing line that allows for the renewal and adaptation of vehicle fleets to guarantee the mobility and care of the most vulnerable groups.
