A Xunta concede 132.000 euros ás galerías de arte para feiras fóra de Galicia

The General Directorate of Culture published in the Official Gazette of Galicia number 172, of September 10, 2026, the resolution granting subsidies to art galleries for their participation in art fairs and markets outside the Autonomous Community of Galicia. The resolution, signed on September 2, 2026, by the general director, Anxo Manuel Lorenzo Suárez, publicizes the full content of the granting resolution of September 1, 2026, which concludes the procedure.

The grants were called under the Order of April 21, 2026, published in the DOG number 82 of May 5, 2026, which establishes the regulatory bases and calls for the subsidies for the year 2026, under the procedure code CT215C. The granting is processed under a non-competitive regime, in accordance with the principles of publicity, transparency, equality, and non-discrimination.

Amount and financing

The total sum of the grants awarded amounts to 132,000 euros, which will be charged to the budgetary application 13.03.432B.770.0 (cp 2015 00374) of the general budgets of the Autonomous Community of Galicia for 2026. The grants are subject to the de minimis regime under the terms of Commission Regulation (EU) No. 2023/2831 of December 13, such that the total amount of de minimis aid granted to a single enterprise shall not exceed 300,000 euros during any previous three-year period.

Processing and appeals

Subsidized galleries are required to provide supporting documentation according to article 15 of the call for applications and are subject to the obligations of article 11 of Law 9/2007, of June 13, on subsidies in Galicia. The publication of this resolution on the official website of the Ministry of Culture, Language and Youth (www.cultura.gal) replaces personal notification and produces the same effects.

Against the resolution, which exhausts the administrative route, an appeal for reversal may be filed before the same body within one month, or a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed before the High Court of Justice of Galicia within two months of its notification.

This grant represents a direct boost to the internationalization of the Galician visual arts sector, by allowing galleries from the community to present themselves at reference fairs such as Arco Madrid, Art Basel, Frieze London, or Paris Photo, expanding the external projection of Galician artistic creation.
