Three positions linked to the Ramón y Cajal program
Positions 26/011, 26/015 and 26/019 add a specific requirement: applicants must be research staff from the Ramón y Cajal program and have passed the evaluation of the Program for the incentive of the incorporation and intensification of research activity (I3), or possess the established research staff certificate (R3).
For the set of sixteen competitions, a doctoral degree and the accreditation certificate for access to the body of tenured professors, issued by the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation, or the corresponding qualification in accordance with Royal Decree 774/2002, are required. Documentary accreditation of these merits must accompany the application.
Ten business days and a fee of 44.17 euros
Applications are submitted through the electronic headquarters of the University of A Coruña, using the official model of Annex II, within a period of ten business days starting from the day following the publication of the call in the Official State Gazette. Each contested position requires a fee of 44.17 euros, which is paid into the university’s account indicating the position number as the concept. Failure to pay within the deadline is not remediable and results in definitive exclusion.
The provided exemptions and discounts are as follows:
- Total exemption for people with a disability equal to or greater than 33% and for special category large families.
- 50% discount for general category large families and for job seekers for at least six months prior to publication and without benefits or subsidies.
Ten-member commissions and two eliminatory tests
Each selection commission consists of five permanent members and five substitutes, of whom at least three from each group must be external to the university; the members are chosen by public lottery from a qualified list prepared by the department. The constitution must take place within thirty business days following the publication of the definitive list of admitted persons.
The competition consists of two public and eliminatory tests. The first is the oral presentation and defense of merits, with a maximum of sixty minutes and a subsequent debate of up to two hours, and requires at least three favorable votes. The second consists of the presentation of the teaching project and the research project, with a limit of 100,000 characters for the former and 50,000 for the latter.
The provision proposal must be published on the official electronic board within a maximum period of thirty business days from the constitution of the commission, and claims may be submitted within five business days. The appointment as career civil servant personnel corresponds to the rector and will be published in the Official State Gazette, in the Official Gazette of Galicia, and on the electronic board, with the taking of office within a maximum period of twenty business days.
The call comes at a time of consolidation of personnel staff in public universities and directly affects a specific profile: accredited research personnel seeking to stabilize as career civil servants. The positions in Physiotherapy, Sociology, and Physics and Earth Sciences account for more than half of the offer, while the three reserved for the Ramón y Cajal program aim at the recruitment of already evaluated research talent.
