A Pobra do Brollón approves the 2026 general budget

The Plenary of the Corporation of A Pobra do Brollón has definitively approved the general budget file for the 2026 financial year, which amounts to 1,819,100 euros in expenditures and 2,200,000 euros in income. The decision, adopted in an ordinary session held on July 9, 2026, was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo number 192, dated August 24, 2026 (reference R. 2266).

The publication is carried out under section 3 of article 169 of the Recast Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5. In the same session, it was also agreed to approve the Corporation’s staffing table, in accordance with article 127 of Royal Legislative Decree 781/1986, of April 18.

A balanced budget in income

The expenditure statement is divided between current and capital chapters, while the income statement is mainly supported by current transfers and direct taxes:

Personnel expenses (Chapter I): 1,006,000 euros.
Expenses for current goods and services (Chapter II): 639,900 euros.
Financial expenses (Chapter III): 31,100 euros.
Current transfers (Chapter IV): 34,100 euros.
Real investments (Chapter VI): 33,000 euros.
Variation in financial liabilities (Chapter IX): 75,000 euros.
Total current expenditures: 1,711,100 euros; total capital expenditures: 108,000 euros.

On the income side, current transfers (861,300 euros), direct taxes (748,000 euros), and fees and other income (477,400 euros) stand out, totaling 2,200,000 euros in current income.

The personnel table

The budget incorporates the Corporation’s personnel table, which includes career civil servants and permanent contractual staff. Among the career civil servants are:

Secretary-Interventor (1 position, group A-2, permanent).
Intermediate Technician as Local Employment Agent (1 position, group A-2, permanent).
Administrative staff of General Administration (3 positions, group C-1, two permanent and one vacant).

Contractual and interim personnel

The permanent contractual staff includes multiple services foremen (works, plumbing, and electricity), administrative assistants, social work and education, waste collection service drivers, cleaners, and home care assistants. The table is completed by interim positions and personnel based on contributions received:

Home care assistants: 10 permanent positions and 8 interim.
Intermediate environmental technician: 1 interim position.
Social work: 1 interim position based on contributions received.

The announcement is signed by the mayor, José Luis Maceda Vilariño, dated August 18, 2026. The final approval of the budget and the personnel framework guarantees the continuity of municipal services and local public employment, key for the management of a rural council such as A Pobra do Brollón.
