A Pobra cedes three plots to the Xunta for a forest firefighters base

The City Council of Pobra do Caramiñal has opened a twenty-day public information period for the free transfer of three municipal plots to the Xunta de Galicia, intended to house an integrated base for forest firefighters. The agreement was adopted by the Plenary of the Corporation in the ordinary session of August 6, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of A Coruña number 160, dated August 24, 2026, under announcement number 2026/5506 and file 2459/2026.
The purpose of the transfer is for the Xunta to install an integrated forest firefighter base for ground operational units (Forest Brigades) in the fight against forest fires. The project includes the construction of a technical building known as B.U.O. (Base of Operational Units), as well as other facilities linked to the services, including parking spaces and storage for the corresponding mobile fleet.
The three transferred plots
The lands are located in the A Tomada industrial estate, within block D2, and are 100% municipally owned. Their characteristics are as follows:
- Plot 1 — parcel 3B, cadastral reference 2963603NH0126S0000MX, area of 875 m² and valuation of €68,197.50.
- Plot 2 — parcel 4B, cadastral reference 2963604NH0126S0000OX, area of 1,000 m² and valuation of €77,940.00.
- Plot 3 — parcel 5B, cadastral reference 2963605NH0126S0000KX, area of 1,000 m² and valuation of €77,940.00.
The three plots are of urban class, undeveloped according to cadastral data, and have industrial use according to the reparceling project.
Conditions of the transfer
The transfer is subject to the condition that the Xunta de Galicia complies with the described purpose. Unless otherwise stipulated in the transfer agreement, the purposes must be fulfilled within a maximum period of five years, and the destination must be maintained for the following thirty years.
If the transferred assets are not used for the intended purpose within the indicated period or cease to be so subsequently, the transfer shall be considered terminated and the plots will revert to the City Council of Pobra do Caramiñal.
Public information
The file is submitted to a twenty-day public information period, which will be counted from the day following the publication of the announcement in the BOP. During this period, interested parties may present any allegations they deem appropriate, accompanied by the documents on which they are based.
The announcement is signed by the mayor, José Carlos Vidal Suárez, dated August 18, 2026, and the file is available on the City Council’s electronic headquarters.
This transfer will provide the region with a key infrastructure for the fight against forest fires, improving the response capacity of the brigades in a high-risk area. The establishment of the base will reinforce the prevention and extinction of fires, an essential service for the protection of the forests and the population of Pobra do Caramiñal and its surroundings.
