A Pastoriza hires two bricklayer officials with funds from the Deputación
Por FactBox Admin

The City Council of A Pastoriza will hire two first-class officers (bricklayers) for six months on a full-time basis, with 100% financing provided by the Provincial Deputation of Lugo. The mayor, Darío Cabaneiro Santomé, approved the bases and annexes via mayoral decree dated October 23, 2026, and the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo published the call in issue number 247, corresponding to October 28, 2026, with reference R. 2934 and under file 777/2026. Interested parties have only five business days to submit the application, counting from the day following the publication.
Framework: the Deputation’s employment reinforcement program
The call is processed under the regulatory bases of the 2026 Deputation Plan for Cooperation with City Councils of the Provincial Deputation of Lugo, within the 2026 Employment Reinforcement Program, aimed at the execution of works and minimum mandatory services of municipal competence. The mayoral decree supports the decision in the secretary-intervention report issued on October 23, 2026, and orders the transfer of the bases to the provincial institution, in compliance with base 11.2 of said program.
The text justifies the hiring due to the need to reinforce the basic services of the council: execution of works, sanitation, water supply, recovery and maintenance of access to population centers and other road infrastructures. Selection will be by competitive examination (concurso-oposición), in accordance with article 61 of Legislative Royal Decree 5/2015, and the contractual modality is that of temporary labor personnel due to production circumstances, as provided for in article 15 of the Workers’ Statute.
Six months, full-time, and 1,586.67 gross euros
The conditions of the position are detailed in the third base of the announcement:
- Duration: six months from the signing of the contract.
- Working day: full-time, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of organizing it in morning or afternoon shifts according to the needs of the service.
- Salary: 1,586.67 gross euros, including the proportional part of extraordinary payments.
- Destination: the entire municipal district of A Pastoriza, in the locations assigned by the council officials.
- Financing: 100% funded by the 2026 Deputation Plan for Cooperation with City Councils.
The first-class officer will be directly responsible for the team and the tools they carry and must report any breakdowns or incidents that occur in the vehicles and machinery while managing them.
Five business days, Driver’s License B, and unemployment status
The deadline for submitting applications is five business days from the day following the publication in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo, according to rule 7.1, which sets the limit on November 4, 2026. Applications are to be submitted at the general registry of the Concello da Pastoriza, from 9:30 to 14:00 hours, or through any of the means provided by Law 39/2015, and the rules and annexes are available on the municipal electronic office (apastoriza.sedelectronica.gal).
Among the required requirements, the following stand out:
- Being in a situation of unemployment or employment improvement, accredited by the job seeker’s card or a document from the Galician Employment Service.
- Possessing a valid class B driver’s license without limitations.
- Certificate of schooling or equivalent.
- CELGA 1 in the Galician language or, failing that, passing an eliminatory translation test.
- Not being subject to causes of incompatibility nor having been dismissed through disciplinary proceedings.
Test, practical exam, and employment pool
The process distributes a maximum of 35 points between the competitive examination phase and the merit phase. The examination consists of a ten-question test —30 minutes and a minimum of 5 points— and a practical test on the handling of tools and machinery, valued at 20 points with a minimum of 10. The merit phase, which only applies to those who pass the examination, grants up to 3 points for professional experience in the last eight years and up to 2 for training, including 0.75 points for a class C driver’s license.
The tribunal will be parity-based and will consist of a presidency, three members, and a secretariat. Upon completion, an employment pool will be established with the remaining candidates in order of score, to cover resignations or leaves during the contract. Whoever is proposed must present the documentation for formalization within two business days. The rules are also signed by the intervening secretary, María Belén López López.
The call comes in a municipality with a small staff and a temporary employment offer of six months, so the very short deadline —five business days— makes the publication in the BOP the only effective notice for unemployed persons in the municipality who meet the requirements.
