Añora approves new nursery school fees and exam fee
Por FactBox Admin

The Añora City Council has definitively approved the modification of several tax ordinances, including the rates for the municipal nursery school and the new examination fee, as published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba number 166, dated August 27, 2026 (reference BOP-A-2026-2956). The agreement, adopted by the Plenary Council on June 30, 2026, is considered definitively approved as no claims were filed during the public exhibition period.
The initial approval had been announced in the provincial gazette on July 9, 2026 (no. 131). Under article 17 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, which approves the revised text of the Law regulating Local Treasuries, and having passed the deadline without allegations, the full text of the modified articles is now published in the annex of the announcement. The document appears signed by Manuel Rodríguez Fernández, first deputy mayor, by virtue of the delegation granted by the mayor-president on August 14, 2026.
New nursery school rates
The tax ordinance regulating the fee for the provision of the municipal nursery school service sets a tax quota per child per month, differentiated by grade and the service contracted. Enrollment and the dining hall option imply acceptance of the fee accrual for the full month, and the absence of the minor, whether justified or not, does not exempt them from the monthly payment.
- 1st Grade (0 years): socio-educational care service (7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), €240.53/month; school dining hall, €92.00/month.
- 2nd and 3rd Grade (1 and 2 years): morning classroom (7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.), €20.90/month; socio-educational care (9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.), €240.53/month; afternoon classroom (3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.), €20.90/month; school dining hall, €92.00/month.
Bonuses for families
The ordinance provides for reduced rates for beneficiaries of schooling grants for children under 3 years old approved by the Department competent in education matters of the Junta de Andalucía. In the 1st grade, the regional bonus is applied to the socio-educational care service fee, plus an additional municipal bonus of 10%.
For enrolled students who are not beneficiaries of said grants, provided there is a legal impediment or other duly justified cause and the admission procedures have been completed, a municipal bonus of 10% is applied to the morning classroom and socio-educational care service fees.
New examination fee
The regulatory ordinance for the examination fee, based on Article 106 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, regulating the Bases of Local Regime, taxes the submission of applications to compete in competitions, competitive examinations, and combined competitions-examinations convened by the City Council of Añora and its autonomous bodies. The fees vary according to the type of process:
- Civil service personnel, any category: €70.00.
- Permanent or permanent-discontinuous labor personnel, any category: €50.00.
- Interim civil service personnel, any category: €40.00.
- Temporary labor personnel and the formation of employment pools, any category: €30.00.
The accrual occurs upon the formation of the file once the application is submitted, and the refund of fees is not applicable even if the applicant is excluded or withdraws. Payment is made within the application submission period via deposit into the municipal current account, attaching the validated receipt to the application.
Impact for residents
The measure directly affects families with children in the first cycle of early childhood education, who will see updated fees and municipal bonuses, and future candidates for public employment in the municipality, who must pay the new fee to participate in the selection processes. The ordinance enters into force the day following its publication in the provincial bulletin and will remain in effect until its express modification or repeal.
