Por FactBox Admin

The A Laracha Town Council announces aid for families for the schooling of their sons and daughters in the 2026/2027 academic year, with a budget of €80,000. The call, which will be processed under competitive bidding, was published in the Official Bulletin of the Province of A Coruña number 152, of 12 August 2026, with announcement number 2026/5269.

The text, which can be consulted in the National Database of Grants (identifier BDNS 923884), is published under the provisions of articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of 17 November, General Grant Law, and of Law 9/2007, of 13 June, on grants of Galicia. The purpose is to help meet the back-to-school expenses of students in early childhood education (ages 3, 4 and 5), primary and secondary education, basic vocational training, baccalaureate, vocational training cycles and university degree and master’s studies. To finance the programme, there is a budget of €80,000.00 under item 320.481.00 of the 2026 municipal budget.

Distribution of aid: 403 places by educational stage

The call provides for a total of 403 grants, with amounts ranging from €150 to €400 depending on the educational stage:

  • 80 grants of €165 for early childhood education (ages 3, 4 and 5)
  • 210 grants of €150 for primary education, compulsory secondary education and basic vocational training
  • 50 grants of €225 for baccalaureate and intermediate and advanced vocational training cycles
  • 40 grants of €400 for university degree and master’s studies
  • 23 grants of €350 for students with special educational needs or specific support needs

Eligible expenses include textbooks, supplementary and specific teaching materials, clothing and sports equipment for physical education, and computer equipment —tablet, laptop or desktop computer, printer, screen, headphones and consumable materials— for primary school students and above.

Who can apply for the aid

Families registered in the A Laracha Town Council before 1 August 2025 —one of the parents or legal guardians and the minors for whom the aid is requested— may be beneficiaries, provided that they are studying one of the subsidised courses and that the family unit has annual per capita income not exceeding €13,000, calculated from the IRPF taxable base.

  • The income limit is increased by €602 per child from the third child onwards in large families
  • Single-parent families, victims of gender-based violence and households with children with disabilities equal to or greater than 33% add 0.5 points to the count of members
  • The aggressor is not counted as a member of the family unit in cases of gender-based violence

Deadline, submission and justification

The deadline for submitting applications begins the day after the publication of the extract in the BOP and will end at 15:00 hours on 30 September 2026.

  • The application can be submitted at the OMIX, located at the Casa da Cultura de A Laracha, in the general registry of the City Council or through the municipal electronic office
  • Among other documentation, the following must be provided: ID/NIE, family book, enrolment or document from the centre, report card for the 2025-2026 academic year and bank certificate
  • Students with special educational needs must provide the certificate of disability equal to or greater than 33%

The justification of the grants will be made with invoices between 1 June and 30 November 2026, for an amount equal to or greater than that awarded; the deadline for justification ends on 30 November 2026.

Processing and resolution

The Assessment Committee, made up of María Canedo Barreiro, Tourism and Culture technician; Andrea Rodríguez Lorenzo, cultural coordinator; and Belén Cabeza Bello, assistant at the Youth Information Office, will propose the granting after applying the criteria. The proposal will pass through the Municipal Intervention and the Local Government Board will be the body that grants the subsidies, with a maximum period of two months from the end of the application deadline.

The call, signed by the acting mayor, José Ramón Martínez Barbeito, gives priority to the lowest incomes, large and single-parent families and students with disabilities or in situations of gender-based violence. Interested families can consult the full text of the terms and conditions in the National Database of Subsidies and on the municipal electronic office.
