A Gudiña approves a protocol to protect children from sporting violence

The Plenary of the City Council of A Gudiña, in an extraordinary session held on August 20, 2026, initially approved the Municipal protocol of actions for the comprehensive protection of children and adolescents against violence in the field of sports and leisure. The agreement was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ourense on September 14, 2026, in section IV of Local Entities, with reference R. 2.113.

The file is now submitted for public information for a period of thirty (30) business days, counted from the day following the publication of the announcement in the official gazette. During this period, the text of the protocol may be examined at the Secretariat of the municipal offices and on the electronic headquarters of the council, and any interested person may submit claims, allegations, or suggestions.

Legal framework and processing

The initial approval is based on article 49 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, regulating the bases of the local regime, and article 106 of the Regulation of organization, functioning and legal regime of local entities. Both regulations establish the public information procedure that is now opening so that residents and involved entities can participate in the process.

The protocol is framed within the obligation of city councils to guarantee the comprehensive protection of children and adolescents, and aims to prevent and act against violence that may occur in the field of sports and leisure, a space of special sensitivity due to the habitual presence of minors.

Deadlines and participation channels

During the public exhibition period, the full text of the protocol remains available to the citizenry through two channels:

• The Secretariat of the municipal offices of the City Council of A Gudiña, where it can be consulted during office hours.
• The electronic headquarters of the council, at the address http://a-gudina.sedelectronica.gal.

Interested persons may submit their claims, allegations, or suggestions through any legally enabled means during the 30 business days of exhibition.

Definitive approval

The announcement states that, in the event that no allegations or claims are presented during the public exhibition period, the initial approval agreement will be understood as definitively approved, without the need for a new express agreement. In this case, the full text of the protocol will be published for its entry into force.
