A Fonsagrada approves a credit transfer of 164,140 euros

The Fonsagrada City Council has definitively approved budget modification file 28/2026, consisting of a credit transfer between different expenditure areas for a total amount of 164,140.96 euros. The agreement, signed on August 28, 2026, by Mayor Carlos López López, was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo number 202, dated September 4, 2026, under reference R. 2344.

The modification was initially approved by the Municipal Plenary in the session held on July 30, 2026, under article 169.1, by referral of 179.4, of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, which approves the Revised Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries. The file was open for public inspection for 15 days following the announcement in the BOP of Lugo number 178, dated August 6, 2026, without any claims being filed, and therefore remained definitively approved.

Destination of funds

The bulk of the transfer is directed toward improving access to population centers, which concentrates practically the entire credit increase:

To finance these investments, the council reduces items for security, urban planning, governing bodies, social assistance, and culture:

Appeals

Against this agreement, according to the provisions of article 171 of the Revised Text of the Law regulating local treasuries, interested parties may directly file a contentious-administrative appeal, in the form and within the time limits established in articles 25 to 42 of Law 29/1998, of July 13, regulating the aforementioned jurisdiction.

The operation allows the municipality of the Lugo mountain region to redirect internal resources toward the maintenance and improvement of access roads to population centers, a strategic priority in a council with an extensive rural territory, while adjusting personnel and service allocations. The definitive publication in the official bulletin provides legal certainty to the expenditure and opens the door to the execution of the planned investments.
