The Deputación adds the Barbadás rondalla to the 2026 performing arts grants
Por FactBox Admin

The Provincial Council of Ourense has included the San Mauro Cultural Association of Barbadás as a possible beneficiary of the grants for the promotion of performing arts and musical activities for 2026, in the rondalla category. The resolution of the Presidency, signed by the delegated deputy of the Area of Finance, Economy, and Human Resources, Marta Nóvoa Iglesias, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ourense on November 4, 2026, in section I, under reference R. 2.528.
The text is published “in accordance with base 7” of the call for grants for the promotion of performing arts and musical activities for the 2026 financial year. The operative part is limited to recognizing the inclusion of the applicant as a possible beneficiary, after the Nominative Grants Office examined the submitted application and verified that it meets the requirements of the call.
Regulatory framework: January bases
The call stems from a previous agreement by the Governing Board of the Provincial Council of Ourense, which in the session of January 19, 2026, approved the regulatory bases for the promotion of performing arts and musical activities for this year. Those bases were published in BOP no. 14, of January 22, 2026, and are the regulation to which each inclusion resolution refers.
The authority to sign these decrees corresponds to the delegated deputy of Finance, Economy, and Human Resources by delegation of the Presidency, according to Resolution 2023/9863, of July 31, 2023. In the document published on November 4, the decree appears dated October 6, 2026, and the signature diligence is dated October 19, 2026.

- Eligible activity: rondalla.
- Legal status: possible beneficiary, awaiting the final resolution of granting.
- Competent body: Presidency of the Council, by delegation to the area of Finance, Economy, and Human Resources.

Third inclusion of the same association in the autumn
The inclusion of the rondalla is not an isolated case. The same entity, with the same CIF, had already been recognized as a possible beneficiary twice in the previous weeks, in files similarly processed by the Nominative Grants Office:
- Choral group, by decree of October 5, 2026, published in the BOP of October 22, 2026 (reference R. 2.418).
- Singers group (cantareiras), by decree of October 7, 2026, published in the BOP of October 29, 2026 (reference R. 2.453).
- Rondalla, by decree of October 6, 2026, published in the BOP of November 4, 2026 (reference R. 2.528).
The three resolutions follow the same model and are based on the same 7th basis and the same regulatory bases from January. The sequence of dates shows that the Deputación resolved separately for each artistic modality requested by the association, although the decrees followed one another within a few days and the publication in the bulletin was staggered throughout October and early November.
Other entities in the same line of aid
The call is not exclusive to Barbadás. On the same dates, the Presidency included other traditional organizations from the province, such as the Asociación Penedo do Sil, recognized as a possible beneficiary in the activity of Galician traditional dance group by decree of September 14, 2026, published in the BOP of September 30, 2026 (reference R. 2.274).
The distribution of cultural funds via municipal channels is also not alien to the council. The Concello de Barbadás submitted for public information in October, following the plenary session of September 7, 2026, a modification of the subsidy annex of the extended budget, which includes nominative contributions to cultural and musical associations of the municipality, with an allocation of 10,000 euros for the set of cultural associations in the non-nominative line.
The relevance of the news lies in the traceability of public money: each inclusion leaves a documentary record of the recipient, the CIF, and the funded activity, which allows for the tracking of the distribution of funds among the local associative fabric. For the residents of Barbadás, the publication on November 4 confirms that the San Mauro rondalla enters the circuit of provincial aid for 2026, pending knowledge of the final amount assigned to it.
