A Deputación resolve o concurso de méritos e adxudica a xefatura de contabilidade

The Provincial Council of A Coruña has resolved the general merit competition for the provision of job positions convened by the presidency, and has awarded the head of the accounting section to María Pereira Carballo. The decision, adopted by the president Valentín González Formoso, was formalized in resolution number 33243/2026, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of A Coruña number 172, on September 9, 2026, under announcement number 2026/5802.

The process began with presidency resolution number 8822, of March 3, 2026, published in the BOE number 65 on March 14, and with the bases approved by the Governing Board in the session of February 20, 2026 (BOP number 41). Following the definitive list of admitted and excluded candidates (resolution 22480, of May 15) and the evaluation of merits, the valuation commissions published the provisional scores on June 25, and the appeals were resolved prior to the final award.

Award of the position

The resolution approves the proposals of the valuation commissions and designates the civil service personnel to occupy the positions subject to the call. The awarded position is as follows:

  • María Pereira Carballo — head of accounting section II (Accounting Service), level 25, group A1/A2, administrations AX/AE (code 1.1.328.1).

Deadlines for taking office

The deadline for taking office depends on the situation of the awarded civil servant:

  • Three business days if it does not involve a change of residence.
  • One month if it entails a change of residence or reentry into active service.

The period begins to count from the day following the cessation of duties, which must take place within three business days following the publication of the resolution in the BOP.

Appeals

The resolution exhausts the administrative route, therefore the interested party may file:

  • Optional appeal for reversal before the body that issued the act, within one month from the notification.
  • Contentious-administrative appeal directly, within two months, before the Contentious-Administrative Section of the corresponding Court of First Instance.

The resolution, signed in A Coruña on September 3, 2026, bears the signature of the general secretary Miguel Iglesias Martínez and the deputy José Ramón Rioboo Castro. With this award, the Provincial Council closes a provision process that affects the internal provincial organization and the structure of its civil service personnel, ensuring the coverage of a key position in the accounting management of the institution.
