Eight municipalities enter by priority criterion
The first eight entities on the list —Bande, Cartelle, Cualedro, Monterrei, A Peroxa, Ramirás, Taboadela and Vilamarín— appear in the official table under the “Priority” criterion, without the resolution detailing the number of inhabitants. The remaining twelve are ordered by population, from the 328 inhabitants of A Teixeira to the 2,327 of Toén, including Chandrexa de Queixa (467), Vilariño de Conso (501), Vilar de Santos (784), Verea (974), A Bola (1,139), Rairiz de Veiga (1,154), Carballeda de Avia (1,172), O Riós (1,379), Muíños (1,385) and Aviñón (1,719).
Twelve of the twenty projects reach the maximum ceiling of 40,000 euros, while the lowest amounts correspond to Vilariño de Conso (19,814.75 euros, for the purchase of a dwelling) and Verea (25,742.91 euros). Most of the actions are rehabilitations of municipally owned properties, although there are also direct purchases and changes of use for buildings such as former schools or agricultural chambers.
Withdrawal of Cortegada and exclusion of Calvos de Randín
The resolution accepts the withdrawal submitted by the City Council of Cortegada (P3202800C) regarding the project for the “reform and interior conditioning of an existing premises for municipal housing.”
It also agrees not to admit the application of the City Council of Calvos de Randín (P3201700F) for processing. The provincial body justifies the decision on the grounds that, after the amendment period had elapsed, the technical project required by the regulatory bases was not submitted, nor was the municipal agreement certificate corrected, which did not identify the specific dwelling for which the aid was requested.
Two months to appeal
The announcement warns that the agreement may be challenged by a request for annulment prior to a contentious-administrative appeal before the same body that issued it, or by a direct appeal before the Contentious-Administrative Section of the Court of First Instance of Ourense, in both cases within a period of two months from the day following publication. Deadlines do not run during the month of August nor between December 24 and January 6.
The resolution closes a call that concentrates the investment effort in small municipalities, most with fewer than 1,500 inhabitants, where the lack of available housing is more pronounced. The grants will allow rentals at regulated prices to be brought to the market in public properties that until now were unused or in a poor state of conservation.
