Por FactBox Admin

The Provincial Council of Lugo, through its Environment Area, has approved the provisional resolution for the granting of subsidies under a competitive bidding process intended for non-profit associative entities of the Terras do Miño and Os Ancares Lucenses Biosphere Reserves. The agreement, adopted by the Governing Board in the session of August 14, 2026, was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo number 189, on August 20, 2026, and distributes a total of 150,000 euros for investment projects that promote the enhancement of the natural, cultural, and landscape heritage of these territories for the 2026 fiscal year.
The call, processed under a competitive bidding regime, is divided into two lines of action: line 10.2, reserved for the Terras do Miño Biosphere Reserve, with a credit of 100,000 euros, and line 10.3, for the Os Ancares Lucenses Biosphere Reserve, with 50,000 euros. The provisional resolution includes both the lists of entities proposed for the grant and the rejected applications, in accordance with the criteria reflected in base 9 of the call and according to the specification contained in the minutes of the Evaluation Commission.

In line 10.2, corresponding to the Terras do Miño Biosphere Reserve, the granting of subsidies is proposed for a total of 18 entities, including:

Os Ancares Lucenses Line: ten funded projects
In line 10.3, corresponding to the Os Ancares Lucenses Biosphere Reserve, the grant is proposed for ten entities, among which stand out:

Deadline for objections and provisional nature
The agreement is provisional and, in accordance with the provisions of base 10 of the call and article 45 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the common administrative procedure of public administrations (LPACAP), it will not be subject to individualized notification, but rather to publication in the BOP and on the Deputación website (www.deputacionlugo.gal). Interested parties have a period of ten business days, counting from the day following the publication, to present objections.
If any interested party waives the granted subsidy, the available credit may be distributed among the remaining provisionally proposed applicants, proportionally to the points achieved in the evaluation. Once the hearing process is completed without objections, the provisional agreement will become definitive. Against this resolution, as it is a procedural act, no appeal may be filed, without prejudice to the objections that interested parties may present. The document was signed in Lugo on August 18, 2026, by the provincial deputy Pablo Rivera Capón and the secretary-intervenor Leticia Rodríguez Díaz.
This resolution represents a direct boost to the associative fabric of the Lugo countryside, which will see the financing of ethnographic recovery projects, digitalization of heritage, conservation of biodiversity, and improvement of community facilities. For the dozens of associations involved, the period for objections that now opens is the last opportunity to correct their situation before the grant becomes definitive.
