The Provincial Council of Lugo confirms the final subsidies to sports clubs.

The Provincial Deputation of Lugo has confirmed the final award of the competitive grants aimed at sports entities and clubs in the province for the 2026 financial year. The Governing Board of the Deputation raised to final the agreement approved at its session of 10 July 2026, after the hearing procedure ended without any representations being made. The announcement is published in the Official Bulletin of the Province of Lugo number 185, of Friday 14 August 2026, with reference R. 2216, and brings the administrative procedure to an end.

The call, managed by the Area of Sports, Crafts and Design and Historical Memory of the Deputation, was resolved under the competitive concurrence regime in accordance with its bases: the assessment of applications applied the general criteria of base 6 and the amount and calculation of the grant as per base 7, according to the specifications in the list annexed to the minutes of the Evaluation Committee. The provisional award agreement was published in the BOP of Lugo No. 161, of Thursday 16 July 2026 (p. 1, reference R. 1902), which opened a ten-working-day period for submitting representations.

An agreement that closes the hearing procedure

The definitive nature of the resolution derives from point 10 of the call’s bases (award agreements and notifications) and article 45 of Law 39/2015, of 1 October, on the common administrative procedure of public administrations (LPACAP), which allows notification by publication in the bulletin and on the website. Specifically:

• The Governing Board approved the provisional agreement at its session of 10 July 2026.
• The provisional announcement appeared in BOP No. 161, of 16 July 2026, with reference R. 1902.
• The period for making representations was ten working days and ended without any representations being made.
• The agreement was thus elevated to final and is now published in BOP No. 185 (R. 2216).

Beneficiaries and consultation of the announcement

The entities and clubs that have been awarded are those that appear in the list annexed to the minutes of the Evaluation Committee, to which the agreement itself refers. Interested parties may consult the announcement and the procedure documentation on the website of the Deputation of Lugo (deputacionlugo.gal, section on current sports grants, 2026 competitive call), as well as in the bulletin itself. The agreement is not individually notified, in accordance with the aforementioned article 45 of the LPACAP.

Appeals and effects of the agreement

Against this resolution, which exhausts the administrative route, interested parties may file:

• Optional motion for reconsideration before the same body that issued the act, within one month from the day following publication.
• Contentious-administrative appeal before the Administrative Court of Lugo, within two months.
• If the motion for reconsideration is chosen, the contentious route may not be pursued until it has been expressly resolved or has been deemed rejected by administrative silence.

The announcement is signed in Lugo on 11 August 2026 by the provincial deputy M.ª del Pilar García Porto, by delegation of the presidency (decree of 31 July 2026), and by the secretary-auditor Leticia Rodríguez Díaz.

With the publication in BOP No. 185, the sports clubs and entities of the province now have legal certainty regarding the funds granted for 2026, which allows them to plan their season and projects with confidence. The agreement closes the administrative phase and confirms the support of the Provincial Council for the sports fabric of the entire province of Lugo.
