The Deputación de Lugo dismisses advisor Patricia Martínez Rey

The Presidency of the Provincial Deputation of Lugo has agreed to the termination of Patricia Purificación Martínez Rey from her position as Level III Advisor of the Temporary Staff, effective August 31, 2026, the last day on which she provides effective services. The decision was adopted by resolution of the Presidency on August 24, 2026, and was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo number 198, Monday, August 31, 2026, under reference R. 2314.

The termination responds to the request made by the interested party herself to cease the provision of services, and was processed based on the proposal of the delegated deputy of the Area of Internal Regime, Territorial Promotion, and Tourism. The resolution was signed by the president, María del Carmen López Moreno, with the approval of the secretary, José Antonio Mourelle Cillero.

Appointment and trajectory

Patricia Purificación Martínez Rey had been appointed Level III Advisor of the Temporary Staff by resolution of the Presidency on January 15, 2026, effective as of the same date and assigned to the Presidency of the Deputation. • Article 12.3 of Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015, of October 30, which approves the revised text of the Law of the Basic Statute of the Public Employee (EBEP), which establishes that the appointment and termination of temporary staff are free and that termination occurs, in any case, when that of the authority to whom they provide their trust and advisory function occurs.
• Article 104.2 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, Regulating the Bases of Local Regime (LRBRL), which grants the president of the local entity the competence for the free appointment and termination of these officials.
• Article 34 of Law 7/1985, which grants the Presidency the powers to resolve the termination.

Effects and publication

The termination is effective on August 31, 2026, the date on which Patricia Purificación Martínez Rey ceases to provide services at the Provincial Deputation of Lugo. The resolution was published in the BOP of Lugo number 198, August 31, 2026, for its knowledge and timely effects, and was also disseminated on the Deputation’s website.
