The Deputación da Coruña appoints six career civil servants

Por FactBox Admin

The Provincial Council of A Coruña has appointed six people as career civil servants to fill positions from the public employment offers of 2022 and 2023. This is established by presidency resolution number 37901, dated August 26, 2026, signed by president Valentín González Formoso, and published in the Official Gazette of the Province of A Coruña number 168, on Thursday, September 3, 2026 (announcement 2026/5691).

The appointments occur once the selection processes are completed, following the publication of the final scores by the tribunals and the accreditation by the candidates of compliance with the requirements demanded in the call’s bases. The resolution has economic and administrative effects referring to the day of taking office.

Appointments and positions

The six appointed people occupy positions as dance teachers, technical advisors, and financial tax technicians, effective from their taking of office:

  • Inés Vieites Veiras — dance teacher (position 1.1.132.3)
  • Sergio Castro Cabana — dance teacher (position 1.1.132.4)
  • Eva Blanco Martelo — technical advisor (position 1.1.130.3)
  • Cristina María Cendán García — technical advisor (position 1.1.130.4)
  • Antonio López Fernández — financial tax technician (position 1.1.116.40)
  • María Luisa Soto Pérez — financial tax technician (position 1.1.116.43)

Regulatory framework and background

The selection processes derive from the public employment offers of 2022 and 2023, published in BOP number 65 on April 5, 2022, and in BOP number 76 on April 21, 2023, respectively. Previously, presidency resolution number 2026/35092, dated August 6, 2026 (BOP number 151, August 11), approved the lists of candidates who passed the processes and granted them a period of 20 calendar days to submit the documentation.

The appointment is based on article 102.2 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, regulating the bases of local regime, and on article 34 of the same legal text. The resolution exhausts the administrative route, therefore an optional appeal for reversal may be filed before the presidency within one month, or a contentious-administrative appeal within two months.

Taking office

The appointed persons must take office within a maximum period of one month from the publication of the resolution in the BOP. The resolution will also be published on the CONVOCA public employment portal of the electronic headquarters of the Provincial Council of A Coruña.

The resolution appears signed by deputy José Ramón Rioboo Castro and by the general secretary, Miguel Iglesias Martínez, dated August 27, 2026.

The incorporation of these six career civil servants consolidates the coverage of the positions announced in the 2022 and 2023 job offers, reinforcing the dance, technical advisory, and tax financial management services of the Deputación, in a process that guarantees the stability of provincial public personnel.
