The Deputación da Coruña has approved the regulatory bases for the subsidy program aimed at management entities, associations, associations of municipalities, and tourism consortia, the Program DP0030/2027, endowed with 2,365,000 euros. The call was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of A Coruña number 212, on Thursday, November 5, 2026, under announcement reference 2026/7135, by resolution of the Presidency. The document bears the signature of the provincial president, Valentín González Formoso, and the general secretary, Miguel Iglesias Martínez, and is dated in A Coruña on October 30, 2026.
The aid line is part of the provincial strategic subsidy plan 2025-2027, approved by the Plenary of the Corporation on September 27, 2024, and responds to the strategic objective of “promoting local and provincial tourism.” The regulatory framework is the General Ordinance of subsidies and transfers of the Deputación and Law 7/2011, of October 27, on tourism in Galicia. Management corresponds to the Tourism Promotion and Development Service, dependent on the Economic Promotion, Tourism and Employment unit, and the granting will be processed under a competitive bidding regime.

The amount of the call is distributed among five items, which may be subject to budget modification:

- 0510/4321/46701: 150,000 euros.

The maximum expenditure budget per project is set at 187,500 euros and the maximum subsidy that can be granted is 150,000 euros, with a maximum financing coefficient of 0.8, that is, up to 80% of the eligible budget. The bases allow for advance expenditure, in accordance with the additional provision of the general bases, and the subsidies are compatible with other aid from any public administration or private entity for the same purpose.
Who can apply for the aid
Entities with a tax domicile in the province of A Coruña registered before January 1, 2027, may apply, including among others:
- Tourism consortia and associations of municipalities.
- Other tourism management entities with predominantly local public capital.
- Associations that manage a geodestination, formally participated in by at least 75% of the municipalities in the territory.
- Associations that manage projects certified by the European Union, the State, or UNESCO, such as biosphere reserves, geoparks, or greenways.
- Associations of municipalities that manage the Camino de Santiago routes that run entirely through the province and are part of the Camino Board.
- Convention Bureaus and associations of professional congress operators.
- Tourism clusters, nautical associations, and cooks’ associations linked to the “A Paisaxe que sabe” campaign.
Rural Development Groups, Coastal Action Groups, and any other managing body of European funds directly participated in by the regional or state administration are expressly excluded, except for those managing international certifications.
Quality, events and tourism products
Projects must be executed between January 1 and December 31, 2027, and fit into one of the three planned lines. The quality line prioritizes training and professionalization plans for the sector; the celebrations line requires events with a budget equal to or greater than 20,000 euros, allows a maximum of two events per supramunicipal entity, and excludes patron saint festivals and pilgrimages not declared of tourist interest; the products line requires a vocation for permanence, the capacity to generate income, and active participation from the business sector.
The guidelines prioritize public-private collaboration, quality certifications such as UNE seals, local gastronomy, and European blue economy projects —DIBEST, ECODESTIN, SANA, and CAPITEN— along a coastline of 956 kilometers, in line with the Galicia Tourism Strategy 2030.
Scoring, deadlines and justification
The evaluation awards up to 40 points to the technical report of the project, up to 20 points to the tourist accommodation places in the territory, up to 20 to the resident population, up to 15 to the self-financing coefficient, and up to 5 to festivities declared of tourist interest. No more than one application per entity or changes of object are permitted, and the submission deadline will be set in the extract to be published in the BOP through the National Grants Database.
The justification may be submitted from the day following the publication of the final award resolution and will end on March 31, 2028, at 2:00 PM. Exceptionally, expenditure vouchers issued up to January 16, 2028, will be accepted for actions executed at the end of the period. Beneficiary entities must maintain their website and dissemination materials in Galician and display the Deputación logo.
The call reaches the sector with one of the largest allocations of the provincial tourism program and a financing margin of 80%, which allows mancomunidades, consortia, and small associations to undertake training plans, events, and products without advancing the total investment. For inland and coastal councils, line DP0030/2027 is the main financing route for their promotion actions during the coming year.
