The Deputación grants +Provincia plan aid to Cangas, Crecente, Ponteareas, and Sanxenxo

The Governing Board of the Provincial Council of Pontevedra approved in its ordinary session on October 23, 2026, a package of investment grants for the municipalities of Cangas, Crecente, Ponteareas, and Sanxenxo, along with the awarding of contracts for Christmas ornamental lighting and fuel supply. The agreements, adopted unanimously, are published as an extract in the Official Gazette of the Province of Pontevedra (BOPPO) no. 208, of October 28, 2026, in the Local Administration section, with the official reference 2026075230.

The session was presided over by Luís López Diéguez, with Rafael Domínguez Artime, Roberto José Álvarez Carrero, Juan Pablo Castillo Amigo, Jorge Cubela López, Ricardo Martínez Chantada, Manuel Alejandro Lorenzo Alonso, María Pilar Ramallo Vázquez, and Jesús Vázquez Almuíña as attending deputies, in addition to secretary María Beatriz del Cerro del Río and comptroller Antonio Graña Gómez. Deputy Luisa Sánchez Méndez did not attend, justifying her absence.

The bulk of the aid falls under the +Provincia Plan 2026-2027, the provincial cooperation program with municipalities, in its investment line 1 and for the 2026 and 2027 annual installments. The publication is an extract of agreements: it collects the object of each investment and the file number, but does not detail the economic amounts granted.

Investments approved in four municipalities

• Cangas de Morrazo: grant for the biennial investment “Rehabilitation and expansion of A Retirosa preschool”, charged to the 2026 and 2027 annual installments (File 2026025582).
• Crecente: aid for “Repair works for damages caused by rains in municipal infrastructures of Crecente”, in the 2026-2027 annual installments (File 2026027942).
• Crecente: second grant for the “Humanization and improvement of the rural nucleus of Pazo, Rebordechán”, in the 2026 annual installment (File 2026027405).
• Ponteareas: aid for the “Installation of public lighting on Avda Castelao”, in the 2026 annual installment (File 2026020495).
• Sanxenxo: within the framework of the IV Extraordinary Plan for Sports Infrastructures, financing for the “Replacement of the perimeter fence of the o Revel football field (Vilalonga)” (File 2026069747).

The Governing Board also modified the agreement for the granting of a subsidy to the municipality of A Estrada under the +Provincia Plan for employment activation (line 3) of 2026 (File 2026005119) and granted, through a competitive bidding process, the aid for the project “+Emprega in special employment centers 2026”, intended to finance the personnel costs of the activity support units of these non-profit centers (File 2026050023).

Awards for Christmas, fuels, and road works

In the procurement section, the provincial government awarded the open procedure for the design, supply under rental agreement, and installation of ornamental lighting elements for the Christmas campaign in various buildings of the Deputación (Expte. 2026010704). It also resolved the supply of fuels at service stations through a contract based on the Framework Agreement 21/2023 of the State Procurement Center (Expte. 2026040841).

Likewise, the work for the “Improvement of road safety and pedestrian mobility on the EP-8501 Valga-Os Martores from 0+000 to 0+110 and on the EP-8502 Valga-Baño from P.Q. 0+000 to 0+950”, in the municipality of Valga (Expte. 2026039519), was awarded, and approval was given to the reformulated investment project for the conditioning of roads and repair of paths for access to Areeiro and Ostral beaches, in Vilaboa, included in the Extraordinary Plan Vía Depo (Expte. 2026038680).

The list of agreements further includes the return of definitive guarantees to several companies once the contracts were executed: CITANIA ARQUEOLOXÍA, S.L. (B-36571057) for the works at the convent of Santa Clara de Pontevedra (Expte. 2025004942); CONSTRUCCIONES ENRIQUE C. CASAS, S.L. (B-36147429) for lot 1 of zone A3 of the framework agreement for pavement maintenance (Expte. 2023031536); GENO DECORACIONES Y MONTAJES, S.L. (B-36820330) for lots 1, 2, and 3 of the Christmas lighting contract (Expte. 2022024852); and CASA PEPE VIGO, S.L., ELMAR FROZEN FOOD, S.L.U., FRUTAS NIEVES, S.L., Industrias de PANIFICACIÓN CAMPELOS DO COTO, S.L. and the entrepreneur Miguel Ángel Ventín Portasany, for the various lots of food supply for the Príncipe Felipe Center (Expte. 2022058142).

Equality and gender violence guidelines for 2027

Among the first items on the agenda, the Governing Board approved the regulatory bases for the call for grants aimed at non-profit social initiative entities for the promotion of equal opportunities and the fight against gender violence during the year 2027 (Expte. 2026059983), which paves the way for the effective call for aid for the next financial year.

In the same block of agreements is the extrajudicial recognition of the final certification of the work for the “Restoration of the Tea river fluvial path, section Moscadeira recreational area-border with the Municipality of Mondariz”, in Ponteareas (Expte. 2024081885, certification 2026066733), and the acceptance of the waiver by the Asociación veciñal-cultural de mulleres de Estacas of a grant from line 1 for the enhancement of intangible heritage, in the municipality of Fornelos de Montes (Expte. 2026035071).

These agreements confirm the pace of execution of the +Provincia Plan, which reaches the councils through weekly sessions of the Governing Board and whose extracts are published in the provincial bulletin to provide publicity and allow for the monitoring of the aid.
