A Deputación concede axudas definitivas a máis de cen clubs deportivos ourensáns

The Provincial Council of Ourense has made final the granting of subsidies to sports clubs in the province for the 2026 financial year, after fully dismissing the four appeals presented against the provisional resolution proposal. The agreement was adopted by the Governing Board in the ordinary session of September 21, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ourense no. 186, of September 29, 2026, with the list of amounts benefiting more than a hundred sports entities.

The procedure was processed as a public tender under the regulatory bases published in the BOP no. 20, of January 30, 2026. The resolution is dated September 21, 2026, is signed by the president of the Council, Luis Menor Pérez, and is registered under number R. 2.257. The clubs are classified into four groups according to the territorial scope of their competition: group I national, group II mixed autonomous-national, group III autonomous, and group IV provincial.

The four appeals, dismissed

The valuation commission examined the documents submitted by four entities and rejected them in their entirety, considering that the initial valuation was correct and adjusted to the bases:

  • Club Ciclista Maceda, represented by Cesáreo Borrajo García: requested that the licenses for the 2024/2025 season be taken into account instead of those for 2025/2026; the substitution of evaluable documentation outside the deadline would alter the competition.
  • Club Hockey Albor, represented by José Aníbal Gamallo Blanco: requested classification in group II; the commission ratifies group III autonomous.
  • Club Running Sport Trail, represented by Diego Martínez Ribao: claimed group III; remains in group IV provincial.
  • Club Ourense Volei Praia, represented by Elena Sardiña Tejada: requested to be moved to group I or II and a review of the score; group III and the three recognized technicians are confirmed, as the employment relationship of Ángel Feijoo González and the qualification of Elía Cid Gómez were not proven.

Excluded requests, waivers, and withdrawals

The resolution also resolves the files that remain outside the distribution:

  • Not admitted for processing due to submission outside the deadline: Atlético Coles (football 11, G22563068) and Xuventude Ourense Fútbol Sala (futsal, G32501579).
  • Not admitted due to lack of mandatory documentation: Club Deportivo Viana (football, G32166290).
  • Accepted waivers: Antela Fútbol Club (G32031643), Club Ximnasia Pavillón Ourense (G32312589), Asociación Deportiva Bosco (G32147357), and Sporting Celanova CF (G32183865).
  • Excluded for failing to prove a youth team: Rúa Valdeorras Club de Fútbol and Moto Club A Peroxa; and for failing to prove official competitive activity: Escolas Deportivas Castro Caldelas.

The granted amounts

The final list distributes the grants among more than a hundred clubs from across the province, with amounts ranging from 14,000 euros to 950.56 euros. The highest amounts are:

  • Club Natación Pabellón Ourense (swimming and triathlon): 14,000.00 €.
  • Club Deportivo Xadrez Ourense (chess): 12,744.63 €.
  • Club Deportivo La Purísima (football and athletics): 11,975.48 €.
  • Club Carmelitas Vedruna (basketball and futsal): 11,797.35 €.
  • Asociación Baloncesto Xinzo (basketball): 11,041.03 €.

  • Centro de Tiro Olímpico Eiroás (shooting and archery): 10,508.40 €.
  • Club Voleibol San Martiño (volleyball): 10,216.49 €.

At the opposite end are the Escola Kickboxing Ribadavia e Disciplinas Asociadas (950.56 €), the Club Natación A Limia (1,000.00 €) and the Club Black Kick Competición (1,036.85 €). Among the entities receiving grants are also the four clubs that filed appeals: Club Ciclista Maceda (7,758.32 €), Club Ourense Volei Praia (7,779.41 €), Club Hockey Albor (9,257.37 €) and Running Sport Trail (2,525.28 €).

Deadlines and means of appeal

  • The general deadline for justifying the granted subsidies is extended until November 30, 2026.
  • An appeal for reversal may be filed against the agreement before the same body within one month, or directly as a contentious-administrative appeal before the Contentious-Administrative Section of the Court of First Instance of Ourense within two months.
  • The deadlines are counted from date to date starting from the day following the publication of the announcement in the BOP, and both avenues cannot be combined.
  • The agreement will be published in the BOP and on the electronic headquarters of the Deputación de Ourense.

The closing of the competition confirms the amounts that the clubs will have this season and opens the period to justify expenses until November 30, while the four claims submitted were rejected without changes to the distribution.
