The Deputación approves nominative grants for USC, audiovisuals, and social entities

The ordinary Plenary of the Provincial Deputation of A Coruña held on September 18, 2026, approved four nominative grants to cultural and social entities, in addition to six cooperation agreements with municipalities in the province. The extract of the agreements is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of A Coruña (BOP) no. 185, of September 28, 2026, in the Local Administration section, under announcement number 2026/6147.

The extract, signed in A Coruña on September 21, 2026, by the acting president, Xosé Regueira Varela, and the acting general secretary, Paula Mª Vázquez Carrasco, collects the points approved by the General Secretariat, Information and Corporate Activity Section. The publication in the BOP provides publicity to the plenary agreements, which combine direct aid to non-profit entities with municipal investments covered by the Provincial Plan for cooperation in works and services of municipal competence (Single Municipal Plan). The extract does not detail the economic amounts of each grant.

Nominative grants to cultural and social entities

The Plenary approved four nominative grants, two of which are accompanied by the corresponding collaboration agreement:

• University of Santiago de Compostela, to co-finance the research activity “Approach to the history of cultural policies in Galicia (1978-2024)”.
• Asociación Academia Galega do Audiovisual, to co-finance the 2026 Mestre Mateo Cycle.
• Asociación Saúde Mental A Creba, to finance the renovation of the premises intended for the Psychosocial and Occupational Rehabilitation Center, along with the collaboration agreement.
• Cáritas Diocesana de Santiago, to finance the replacement of the windows of the Violetas Training and Employment Center, with its collaboration agreement.

Cooperation agreements with six municipalities

The Plenary gave the green light to the text and the formalization of cooperation agreements with six municipalities, all of them implemented through nominative grants:

• Concello de Miño: rectification of a material error in the agreement to co-finance the works for the installation of the roof of the sports court in Vilanova-Perbes, approved by plenary agreement number 14, of July 31, 2026.
• Concello de O Pino: works on the pedestrian path from Regas to Cruce Casal.
• Concello de Mesía: works for the expansion of the water distribution network in the parish of Visantoña.
• Concello de Oleiros: execution works for the new grandstand and locker room building of C.F. Redondo.
• Concello de Outes: works to improve the wearing course in Vilar de Outes and other points.
• Concello de Pontedeume: acquisition of real estate for the expansion of the Town Hall.

Modified projects and other agreements

The session also approved modifications to investments of the Single Municipal Plan and several internal management matters:

• Mazaricos Council: modified project for the “Rehabilitation of the caretaker’s house in the former CEIP of Pino de Val for multi-purpose premises”, from the POS+Additional 2/2023, code 2023.2102.0371.0.
• Oleiros Council: modified project for the “Renovation of the descent and pumping sections of the Edreira round tank from the Pazo street”, from the POS+Additional 2/2025, code 2025.2102.0478.0.
• Santa Comba Council: modified project for the “Improvement of roads in the parishes of Cicere, Santa Sabiña, San Cristovo, Grixoa and Arantón”, from the POS+2026, code 2026.2100.0079.0, with the lifting of conditions and definitive approval.
• Santa Comba Council: modified project for the “Improvement of road networks in the parishes of Santa Comba, Ser, Alón and Fontecada”, from the POS+2026, code 2026.2000.0180.0.
• Acknowledgment of the information regarding the average payment period to suppliers and the list of invoices paid by the Provincial Council and the Provincial Fire and Rescue Consortium of A Coruña, corresponding to July 2026.
• Initial approval of the temporary personnel regulations of the Provincial Council of A Coruña.
• Collaboration agreement between the Galician Tourism Agency and the Provincial Council for the financing of tourism promotion actions in the province of A Coruña 2026.
• Work project DP 1705 Tarrío to O Gaiteiro, for the improvement of road safety in the surroundings of the CEIP and the sports center of Tarrío, in Culleredo.

The publication of these agreements allows the beneficiary entities and the councils to know the plenary support for the committed aid and investments, while citizens can consult the BOP for the details of the actions that will be financed in the province during the 2026 financial year.
