The Provincial Council postpones the exam for A1 positions to November 24

The Provincial Council of Pontevedra has rectified the dates for the constitution of the qualifying tribunal and the performance of the first exercise of the selection process convened to fill two positions for general administration technician A1. The correction is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Pontevedra (BOPPO) number 206, dated October 26, 2026, with official reference 2026074967, and moves the constitution of the tribunal to November 23 and the first exercise to November 24, both at 9:00 AM at the Pazo Provincial.

The now-corrected resolution is 2026008416, published only five days prior, in BOPPO number 203 of October 21, 2026, within file 2024077009. In that announcement, the constitution of the tribunal was set for November 16 and the first exercise for November 17, also at 9:00 AM and at the same headquarters on Montero Ríos Avenue. Having noticed the error, the deputy delegate for Personnel matters —acting by delegation of the Presidency— issued a rectification resolution under article 109.2 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the common administrative procedure, and in accordance with the provisions of the call’s bases.

The two dates being moved

• Constitution of the tribunal: moves from November 16 to November 23, 2026, at 9:00 AM.
• First exercise: moves from November 17 to November 24, 2026, at 9:00 AM.
• Location: Pazo Provincial da Deputación, avenida Montero Ríos s/n, Pontevedra.
• Scope: affects all applicants of process CPI2024O.

The rest of the content of the original resolution remains intact: the definitive list of admitted and excluded persons, the composition of the tribunal, and the instructions for the performance of the exercises. The rectification is limited to the third point of the resolution, which sets the dates.

Two positions and four applicants

The process, identified as CPI2024O, fills two general administration technician positions within the general administration scale, technical sub-scale, subgroup A1, via the internal promotion quota. The definitive list of admitted persons, approved on October 21, consists of four women and records no exclusions:

• Silvia Labraña González
• Fátima Monteagudo Pereira
• Ana Isabel Pichel Pazos
• Pilar Rivas Álvarez

The immediate precedent is the provisional list published in BOPPO number 73, dated April 16, 2025. The resolution is based on the eleventh base of the call and article 20 of Royal Decree 364/95, of March 20.

The tribunal has already been designated

The designation of the qualifying tribunal does not change with the rectification. The appointments are:

• Permanent Chairperson: Pablo Montero Carrera, head of the Procurement, Finance and Heritage service.
• Substitute Chairperson: Paloma Román del Arco, head of the Inspection and Sanctioning Procedures Service of the ORAL.
• Permanent Secretary: Gabriel Rodríguez Alonso, head of the Intermunicipal Assistance service.
• Substitute Secretary: Cruz Farto Justo, head of administrative management of the Provincial Museum.
• Permanent Members: María Jesús Torres Peón, María José Pérez Álvarez and Marcos Areán González.
• Substitute Members: Begoña Estévez Bernárdez, Julio Souto Diz and Miguel Ángel Santirso Fernández.

The rules remind that the members of the tribunal must abstain —and may be recused— when any of the circumstances of article 23 of Law 40/2015 occur, as well as when they have performed tasks preparing candidates in the five years prior to the call.

Appeals against the rectification

The resolution ends the administrative route. Against it, the following are possible:

• Optional appeal for reversal before the same body that issued it, within a period of one month counted from the day following the notification.
• Appeal before the Contentious-Administrative section of the Court of First Instance of Pontevedra, within a period of two months, according to article 46 of Law 29/1998.

Candidates must present themselves provided with a national identity document or another reliable document proving their identity, as well as the material means necessary for the practice of the exercise.

The one-week postponement gives more margin to the four candidates to prepare a test that decides two technical staff positions in the Deputación. Any change of date in an internal promotion process requires reorganizing agendas and travel, and the publication of the correction in the bulletin is the only way for the new calendar to have formal effects against third parties.
