The Deputación opens a public information period to widen the OU-0456 road in Cea

The Provincial Council of Ourense has submitted for public review the project for the widening and improvement of the OU-0456 Mandrás-Viduedo (N-525) road, in the section between kilometer points 0+680 and 1+250, in the municipality of San Cristovo de Cea. The announcement, signed by the provincial president Luis Menor Pérez on September 16, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ourense on September 24, 2026, under reference R. 2.248.

The file, identified as 2026/8271G, is processed under Article 83 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the common administrative procedure of public administrations. The opening of the process allows any natural or legal person to examine the project and submit written allegations before the Council resolves on the execution of the works. The announcement is included in section I of the gazette, dedicated to the Provincial Council of Ourense.

Twenty business days to appeal

The public exhibition period is twenty business days and begins to count the day following the publication of the announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province. During this period, the complete file will be available at two locations:

• The offices of the Roads and Works Service, located in the Pazo Provincial, at rúa O Progreso, no. 32, in Ourense, from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 to 14:00 hours.
• The electronic headquarters of the Provincial Council of Ourense.

Allegations must be submitted in writing, so that residents and owners of land adjacent to the route can state their objections or technical suggestions before the final approval of the project.

Affected parties and scope of the action

The intervention focuses on a section of slightly more than half a kilometer of the OU-0456, the road that links Mandrás with Viduedo and connects to the national road N-525. The declared objective is the widening and improvement of the roadway, an action that usually involves the temporary or permanent occupation of strips of land and therefore directly affects the owners of the adjacent plots.

The announcement does not detail the budget, execution deadlines, or the start date of the works; these data remain pending the resolution of the file once the public information period is closed.

Other roads in processing

The exhibition of the OU-0456 is added to other road actions that the Provincial Council of Ourense has opened to the public in recent weeks:

• The widening and improvement of the OU-0306 San Cristovo (OU-504) – Leiro (OU-209), in the crossing of Paredes, in Leiro, announced on September 1, 2026.
• The comprehensive conditioning and improvement of the OU-0213 Crespos (OU-414) – Ponte Cantiño (OU-193), in Pontedeva, announced on September 11, 2026.

In all three cases, the same procedure is repeated: public information for twenty business days, consultation at the Roads and Works Service and at the provincial electronic headquarters, and a subsequent resolution by the Presidency.

The opening of this process is the only formal opportunity for the residents of San Cristovo de Cea and the owners of the affected plots to submit objections against the layout or claim compensation. Those who do not do so within the period of twenty business days will find it difficult to oppose the execution of the project afterwards.
