A Coruña reparte 118.605 euros entre 47 entidades sociais coruñesas

The City Council of A Coruña has resolved the final granting of subsidies intended for non-profit social interest entities for activities and projects for the 2026 financial year, with a final amount of 118,605.00 euros distributed among 47 groups. The decision was adopted by the delegated councilor of the Area of Social Welfare, Participation and Equality by delegation of the Local Government Board, through resolution RES/AYT/20113/2026, issued on October 19, 2026. The text is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of A Coruña number 205, Tuesday, October 27, 2026, under announcement number 2026/6871.

A call for 125,000 euros and seven months of processing

The specific call was published on March 10, 2026, in the BOP number 46, and the application period was open from March 11 to April 10, 2026. The Evaluation Committee met on June 23 and July 1, 2026, and the head of the Social Action Service issued a report on July 10 with a provisional proposal of 124,978.00 euros, the figure that motivated the initial announcement.

The competence to resolve lies with the Local Government Board, which by agreement of July 31, 2026 (BOP number 147, August 5) delegated the authority to the delegated councilor of the area. The committee minutes and the entirety of the procedure are under reference file 105/2026/1240, and the report serving as the basis for the resolution is dated September 25, 2026.

The expenditure is committed against budget application 51.231.489.00 of the current municipal budget, which had 125,000.00 euros authorized for this purpose. The resolution cancels an expenditure balance of 6,395.00 euros, the difference between the authorized credit and the amount effectively granted.

Fewer project hours and less money

The period for objections was open from July 13 to 24, 2026, without any being submitted, and the reformulation period was from July 27 to 31. The committee met again on September 16 and accepted the reformulations of 26 entities, two of which were later denied, applying the rule that fewer activity hours imply a lower score and, therefore, a lower amount.

The most visible cuts were these:

  • Asoc. ONG Viraventos: from 540 to 120 hours, with a decrease from 2,833.00 to 2,548.00 euros.
  • Yarama África Sociedade Cooperativa Galega: from 960 to 384 hours, from 3,179.00 to 3,093.00 euros.
  • Asoc. de Dano Cerebral da Coruña (ADACECO): from 320 to 102 hours, from 2,574.00 to 2,410.00 euros.
  • Fundación Nortempo: from 390 to 150 hours, from 2,741.00 to 2,561.00 euros.
  • Fundación ECCA Social: from 180 to 130 hours, from 2,432.00 to 2,396.00 euros.

The valuation applies a value of 36.88 euros per point of the first round and 0.78 euros per point of the second. The resolution also corrects an error from the provisional proposal that granted the Asociación Agalure 2,723.00 euros when it had requested 2,719.64, and rejects its reformulation for increasing the requested amount: the aid remains at 2,719.00 euros.

The beneficiary entities and the highest amounts

The highest grants of the final distribution are as follows:

  • Asoc. Comité Ciudadano Anti-SIDA de Coruña (G15279219): 3,395.00 euros, the highest amount and the best scored, with 90.18 points.
  • Federación Galega de Enfermidades Raras e Crónicas (FEGEREC) (G70218128): 3,238.00 euros, with 86.00 points.
  • Fundación Amigo (G81454969): 3,220.00 euros, with 85.51 points.
  • Federación de Asociacións de Persoas Xordas de Galicia (G15068091): 3,213.00 euros, with 85.33 points.
  • Fundación Juansoñador (G24452435): 3,096.00 euros.
  • Yarama África Sociedade Cooperativa Galega (F70576467): 3,093.00 euros.

At the opposite end are Fundación Ronsel (G15752660), with 1,122.00 euros, Asoc. Veciños Castrillón Urbanización Soto IAR (G15072242), with 1,328.00 euros, and Stop-Accidentes (G62484480), with 1,737.00 euros. The group includes entities for disability, health, drug addiction, cooperation, family, neighborhood action, and LGBTI collectives.

The resolution also authorizes the partial execution of activities through linked persons and entities, such as Top Rescue SL, Radio ECCA Fundación Canaria, Asociación Pro Persoas con Discapacidade Intelectual de Galicia (ASPRONAGA), Santiago González Iglesias, I.G. Documentación SL, and CEDDD Galicia.

Withdrawals, exclusions, and two denials

The process closed with an uneven balance among the 53 processed files:

  • Fundación Abrente and Betania de Jesús withdrew and saw the procedure declared concluded.
  • ASEDUC and AMPEGA were declared to have withdrawn for failing to correct the application.
  • Club Hockey Liña Noroeste was excluded for not properly justifying the required criteria.
  • Asoc. Antidroga Antonio Noche and Construyendo Identidades were denied for failing to prove, prior to the grant proposal, that they were up to date with tax and Social Security obligations, according to base 17.

Between September 28 and October 13, 2026, 46 acceptances and no withdrawals regarding the final proposal were registered. The resolution ends the administrative route and may be appealed for reconsideration within one month or challenged before the contentious-administrative jurisdiction within two months.

The distribution consolidates municipal support for the associative fabric of A Coruña, but with two characteristics worth noting: the money arrives after reducing projects that had already been approved, and half of the grants barely reach 2,000 euros, meaning that the smallest entities receive support that only covers part of the subsidized activity. The cancelled budget balance, 6,395 euros, remains as a available margin for future calls.
