Por FactBox Admin

The City Council of A Coruña has appointed fourteen people as career civil servants of the basic scale of the local police force, with definitive assignment to the positions assigned to them. The decision was made by the delegated councilor responsible for Economy and Strategic Planning, José Manuel Lage Tuñas, by delegation of the Local Government Board, through a resolution dated October 19, 2026. The appointment is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of A Coruña (BOP) number 207, from Thursday, October 29, 2026, in the Local Administration section, under announcement number 2026/6905.
The scope of the appointment
The resolution, signed in A Coruña on October 22, 2026, orders the appointment of career civil servants from the Special Administration scale, special services sub-scale, local police class, subgroup C1, in the basic scale of the local police force, police category. The positions are granted “in definitive assignment,” meaning as a stable and not provisional destination, which completes the applicants’ journey and consolidates their positions within the municipal structure.
The publication occurs in the Personnel section of the A Coruña city council, within the Local Administration announcements of the provincial gazette, and provides the individualized detail of the appointments—surnames, name, DNI with partial masking, code, and designation of the position—in a two-page annex.

Appeals and deadlines
This resolution ends the administrative route, therefore it may be challenged through the channels provided for in Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations, and in Law 29/1998, of July 13, regulating the Contentious-Administrative Jurisdiction:
- Appeal for reversal (recurso de reposición), on an optional basis, within a period of one month before the same body that issued the resolution.
- Contentious-administrative appeal within a period of two months before the competent body of the contentious-administrative jurisdiction.
- If an appeal for reversal is filed, the contentious route may not be pursued until the former is expressly resolved or its presumed dismissal occurs.
The calculation of the periods begins on the day following the publication of the challenged provision or the notification or publication of the act that ends the administrative route.
The entry of these fourteen agents as career civil servants closes a selection process that had been ongoing and provides legal and employment stability to a part of the basic scale of the A Coruña local police. For the residents, the measure translates into an effective reinforcement of the municipal security service with personnel already trained and with a fixed destination, while the remaining applicants in the process await the following appointment resolutions.
