Por FactBox Admin

The City Council of A Coruña submits for public exhibition the fiscal registrations for the 2026 financial year, approved by resolutions of the Delegated Councilor for Economy and Strategic Planning dated September 7 and 9, 2026. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of A Coruña number 174, of September 11, 2026, under announcement number 2026/5932.
The approval is processed by delegation of the Local Government Board, according to the delegation agreement of July 31, 2026, published in BOP number 147 of August 5. The registrations remain open to the public for a period of one month counted from the publication, in accordance with article 102 of Law 58/2003, of December 17, general tax law, and article 61 of the General ordinance for the management, collection, and inspection of municipal taxes.
Included levies
The 2026 fiscal registrations affect six municipal taxes and fees:
- Waste collection fee (commercial and industrial).
- Cemetery fee.
- Fee for vehicle entry and space reservation on public roads.
- Fee for occupation of public roads with vending machines.
- Fee for occupation of public roads with tables, chairs, stands, and other analogous elements for profit purposes.
- Tax on Economic Activities (IAE).
Consultation and allegations
During the exhibition period, interested parties may examine the registrations and submit allegations at the Treasury Department of the Tax Management Service, located on the first floor of the City Council Economic Services building, at rúa da Franxa, number 20.
Once the exhibition period has elapsed, interested parties have an additional month to file the appropriate appeals:
- Appeal for reversal, as a prior and optional measure, provided for in article 14 of Legislative Royal Decree 2/2004, of March 5, which approves the consolidated text of the Law regulating local treasuries.
- Economic-administrative claim, mandatory prior to the contentious-administrative appeal, provided for in article 137 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, regulating the bases of the local regime.
- Both appeals cannot be filed simultaneously; should this situation occur, the one filed first will be processed and the second will be declared inadmissible, according to article 222 of Law 58/2003.
Nature of the notification
The announcement serves as a collective notification under article 102 of the General Tax Law 58/2003, therefore its publication in the official gazette replaces individual notification to the affected taxpayers. The edict is signed by José Manuel Lage Tuñas, councilor responsible for the area of Economy and Strategic Planning, dated September 9, 2026.
The public exhibition of tax registrations is a key procedure for shops, companies, and individuals holding economic activities in the city, as it determines the tax burdens they will face throughout the 2026 financial year. The one-month period for allegations and the subsequent appeals period offer taxpayers the opportunity to review and challenge the data affecting them before its final approval.
