A Coruña pays fair prices for the expropriations of the Costa da Morte highway

The Provincial Service of A Coruña of the Galician Infrastructure Agency has agreed to carry out the payment of fair prices for expropriation for the layout project “First phase of the extension of the Costa da Morte highway. Section: Santa Irena-AC-432. Update”, code AC/25/079.01, in the municipality of Vimianzo. The resolution, signed on September 7, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of A Coruña number 173, of September 10, 2026, with announcement number 2026/5852.

The decision affects the owners of land and rights of the layout, whose assets are listed on the municipality’s notice board. The payment is processed in compliance with article 49 of the Forced Expropriation Regulations of April 26, 1957, by virtue of the competence delegated through the Order of September 7, 2017 on the delegation of competences, published in the DOG number 179, of September 20, 2017.

Payment Conditions

Payment will be made via bank transfer to whoever appears as the holder in the file. The amount to be paid will be the result of deducting the amount corresponding to the prior deposit from the fair price.

• The transfer will be made to whoever is listed as the holder in the file.
• In case of a change of ownership, documentation proving the transfer of property and the ID (DNI) of the new holder must be provided.
• Holders must present a certificate of ownership of the bank account with the full number (including IBAN and BIC) within ten (10) business days, in which all owners appear jointly as holders.

Deposit in Case of Non-Compliance

If the documentation is not provided within the indicated period, the transfer cannot be carried out, or the ownership is not sufficiently proven, the amount of the fair price will be deposited in the General Deposit Fund (Caixa Xeral de Depósitos).

The required documentation can be submitted through any of these channels:

• At the assistance offices for registration matters.
• At post offices addressed to the Provincial Service of the Galician Infrastructure Agency of A Coruña (rúa Vicente Ferrer, 2, 8th floor, 15071 A Coruña).
• Through electronic submission at the headquarters of the Xunta de Galicia (procedure PR004A).
• By any of the means provided for in article 16 of Law 39/2015, of the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations.

The resolution represents a step forward in the execution of the first phase of the extension of the Costa da Morte highway, a key infrastructure to improve the communication of the region with the rest of the province.
