4.5 million in grants to improve hotels and restaurants in Galicia

The Galician Tourism Agency has publicized, by means of a resolution dated August 20, 2026, the grants awarded for actions to improve the infrastructure of tourist accommodation and catering establishments in the Autonomous Community of Galicia. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of Galicia (Diario Oficial de Galicia) number 162, dated August 27, 2026, in section III (Other provisions), page 46787.

The subsidies are granted on a competitive basis under the Resolution of February 23, 2026, which establishes the regulatory bases and announces the call for the year 2026, under procedure code TU503A. The total credit amounts to €4,500,000.00, charged to budget application 04.A2.761A.770.0, project code 2015 00005.

Regulatory framework and issuing body

The publication responds to the provisions of article 15.1 of Law 9/2007, of June 13, on subsidies in Galicia, and article 17 of Law 1/2016, of January 18, on transparency and good governance, as well as article 25 of the regulatory bases of the call. The resolution is signed by the director of the agency, José Manuel Merelles Remy, and its content is integrated into two annexes.

Beneficiaries and amounts

Annex I lists the subsidies for accommodation establishments, with amounts ranging from just over €1,200 to a maximum of €50,000. Among the beneficiaries are:

  • Hotel Campomar Sanxenxo, S.L. — €59,039.50 (renovation, climate control, and equipment)
  • Arabamar, S.L. — €59,935.51 (renovation and movable equipment)
  • Elite Plaza Coruña, S.L. — €59,884.52 (renovation of facilities)
  • Hotel Avenida Coruña, S.L.U. — €59,948.33 (climate control and renovation)
  • Ponte Ribeira, S.L. — €59,999.40 (renovation and beautification of the surroundings)
  • Leidiz, S.L. — €59,997.00 (renovation of facilities)

Annex II lists the grants for catering establishments, with amounts ranging from €680.05 to nearly €60,000. Notable mentions include Canaima Mesón do Vento, S.L. (€59,992.36), A Xanela Gastronómica S.R.L. (€49,996.60), and Rías Altas Express, S.L. (€48,892.52).

Object of the investments

The subsidized actions focus on the renovation and modernization of facilities, improvement of climate control, digitalization, acquisition of movable equipment, improvement of accessibility and the removal of architectural barriers, as well as the beautification of the surroundings and adaptation to regulatory changes.

The resolution publicizes the result of the awarding process both in the Official Gazette of Galicia and on the Galician Tourism Agency website (turismo.gal), in compliance with the principles of transparency and good governance.
