230.000 euros para el complejo de piscina de Puebla de Don Rodrigo

The Provincial Council of Ciudad Real has granted a nominative subsidy of 230,000 euros to the City Council of Puebla de Don Rodrigo to acquire a plot of land and carry out the necessary actions to create a municipal swimming pool, leisure, and recreation complex. The agreement, approved by the Plenary in an extraordinary session on September 30, 2026, is definitively published in the Official Provincial Gazette (BOP) number 211, of November 2, 2026, in announcement number 3520, with the verification reference sV5sCSFiF7gAuLhtEoBB.

A nominative grant included in the current budget

The amount is incorporated into the budgetary application 29900.94200.762, titled “Nominative Subsidies. Municipal Assistance Areas,” through the modification of the forty-first base regulating the provincial institution’s budget. The published file summarizes the purpose in a single line: acquisition of land and actions for the creation of a municipal swimming pool, leisure, and recreation complex, for the total of 230,000 euros.

The procedure complies with article 171.1 of the Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, which approves the revised text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries. The file had already undergone public consultation: the Provincial Council submitted it for exhibition for the regulatory period and now certifies that no claims have been filed, so the approval acquires a definitive character.

The announcement closes the procedure after the allegations period

The administrative sequence is closed in three steps: plenary agreement, public exhibition without allegations, and definitive publication in the provincial gazette. The text appears signed in Ciudad Real, on October 29, 2026, by the president of the corporation, Miguel Ángel Valverde Menchero, and bears the signature of the head of the BOP office, Pablo Salazar Sánchez.

Against the definitive approval, a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed before the Contentious-Administrative Court of Ciudad Real within two months following the publication of the announcement, as stated in the agreement itself. This is the ordinary challenge mechanism provided for this type of budgetary files.

The largest item of the entire edition

The aid to Puebla de Don Rodrigo stands out among the rest of the nominative subsidies that the Provincial Council publishes on the same day within the framework of the Municipal Assistance Area:

  • Puebla de Don Rodrigo: 230,000 euros for a plot of land and a swimming pool, leisure, and recreation complex.
  • A group of fifteen town councils (including Alcázar de San Juan, Valdepeñas, Manzanares, Piedrabuena, Chillón, Poblete, and Viso del Marqués): 302,000 euros in total for parks, lighting, urban furniture, or accessibility.
  • ADV Miguelturra: 2,000 euros for the XX Miguelturra Beach Volleyball Trophy 2026, under budget allocation 59900.34100.489 for the promotion of the province’s identity and traditions.

No other individual item in the bulletin reaches 230,000 euros. The largest within the block of fifteen municipalities are the 40,000 euros for Alcázar de San Juan to rehabilitate the children’s area of Parque Alces and the 40,000 for Valdepeñas for accessibility and ornamentation of the convent square.

Municipal investment charged to the provincial budget

The operation is formalized as a nominative subsidy, a figure that allows a specific amount to be allocated to a determined beneficiary without a competitive call for applications, provided that the corresponding budget base is modified and the file passes the public information process. In this case, the beneficiary is a single town council and the purpose is fixed: purchase of land and works for a bathing and leisure facility.

For the residents of Puebla de Don Rodrigo, the publication means that the Provincial Council has completed the administrative process for the aid and that the council now has a firm budgetary framework to undertake the purchase of the plot and the construction of the complex. The announcement arrives without objections and with the challenge period open from the date of its appearance in the provincial bulletin.
