Our philosophy

We live in the age of noise. Every minute, millions of messages compete
for our attention — and most of them are not verified. A rumor, repeated
loudly enough, becomes a headline. A headline, repeated carelessly,
becomes reality.

FactBox was born as a quiet rebellion against that reality.

We believe the truth is out there. But it is buried under mountains of
legalese, scattered across hundreds of official bulletins from every
corner of the world, and locked behind language barriers that almost
no one ever crosses. Official gazettes are the primary source of
primary sources — they publish the law, the appointment, the tender,
the sanction — and yet almost no one reads them. Their complexity
condemns them to a handful of devoted readers.

We wanted to change that. So we built FactBox: a system that goes
straight to the source. It downloads official bulletins from Spain,
Europe, the Americas, Asia, Africa and Oceania — and turns them into
clear, modern, multilingual stories. No opinions. No spin. Just the
news as governments actually publish it.

FactBox is, above all, a personal project. It is built by one person,
with the help of an artificial intelligence that doubles as editor:
it reads, cross-checks, writes, translates, and even draws the
imagery. There is no human newsroom, no hierarchy, no style committee.
There is a developer, an AI, and a clear idea.

And that, perhaps, is the most delightful part. Every day we open
bulletins from places we will probably never visit — a Japanese
municipality, an Argentine province, a Swiss canton, an African region
— and we tell them to the world. What once could only be read by the
civil servants who speak the language and sign the document can now be
read with a coffee, in eight languages, from anywhere on Earth.

We do this in eight languages because information should never depend
on which one you happen to speak.

And we do it openly. Every article carries the full reference of the
gazette it came from — name, date, document number — so anyone can
trace it. Every translation is published with its source in plain
view. No black boxes, no shortcuts.

This is not just another news website. It is another way of reading
the world: one person, one AI, and the honest will to prove that the
most reliable source can also be read for what it is — an
extraordinary story, told without ornaments.
